Base Cleanser

The fatty acids in coconut oil make it extra soothing on the skin. It is a natural detoxifier, pulling dirt and grime to the surface so that it can be easily washed away.

Base Cleanser & Skin Softener

The high amount of fatty acids creates a barrier on the skin, locking in hydration.

Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit

Moisturizer

Full of vitamins and fatty acids making it incredibly nourishing for the skin. It is known for its protecting and emollient properties.

Moisturizer

Carrier Oil known to soften and re-condition the skin. It is rich in proteins, Olein Glyceride Linoleic Acid and Vitamin D, and is considered extremely nourishing.  It will sooth dry skin and irritated areas.

Ricinus communis (castor) oil

Foaming Agent

Castor seeds are great skin hydrators along with their high fatty acid composition helping to give the skin a natural glow. It creates a multitude of tiny bubbles to increase the foaming capabilities to our Hair & Beard Bar.

Beer

Base, Lather, Scent

Replacing water for beer adds a natural preservative as well as a smooth, milky feel. It also creates a sudsy lather without the use of dangerous chemicals.

Humulus Lupulus

Scent, exfoliant, botanical

Hops contain skin softening amino acids and anti-inflammatories which can soothe irritated and inflamed skin. It is also a natural antibacterial agent, great for combating acne.

Hops have also been known for centuries as an excellent sleep aid to help relax and reduce anxiety.

Lye

Saponification

Lye is critical in the soap-making process; it reacts with oils to create soap and glycerin. The process of changing the liquid oils into a solid bar of soap is called saponification. We add extra oils to our soap (called superfatting) to make sure no lye remains in the final product.

Beeswax

Beeswax gives out Hand Balm and Lotion bars their solid shape. The low melting point allows it to soften easily for application.

Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants. The oils capture the plant’s scent, or “essence”.

Lavender has a lot of health benefits, but we are largely tapping into it as a very well known sleep aid. It is also said to help reduce stress and anxiety, ease depression, improve mood and relieve headaches.

Chamomile is a calming fragrance used to improve sleep, relieve anxiety, and promote a feeling of calm.
