USDA Agricultural Research Unit developed Teamaker and released it in 2006. It is a unique high beta, low alpha breed that has made its mark not just in the brewing industry but in the world of medicine and food as well.

Usage
Strong antibiotic properties and it has been seen used in herbal teas and as an alternative antibiotic in livestock feed, right through to a bacterial inhibitor in the processing of sugar. It also makes really great iced tea. In brewing, it has a somewhat similar profile to Crystal, except that it doesn’t impart any bittering at all. It contributes floral aromas when used as a late addition.
